We are back, Dawson Street Intersection take over!

SYDNEY RD, STREET PARTY 2024

SUNDAY 3rd March 12pm-6pM

As we will be in the middle of the redevelopment of our new site, this year we are partnering with the Brunswick Music Festival, and we will have prime positioning at this year’s Sydney Rd Street Party. The main (BLAK) stage will be on the corner of Glenlyon and Sydney Rd and directly opposite on Dawson Street we will host our annual Blak Dot Artists Market.

The market will have prime positioning, the street party has an average attendance of around 25,000 visitors over the day. This free all-inclusive family-friendly event will feature stalls showcasing the work of artists from local and international Indigenous nations and communities, as well as cultural performances and free workshops where visitors can engage, learn, and create alongside the artists.

ARTIST MARKET will provide each stall holder; Tent , Trestle table, Chair, Promotional banner (if already printed from previous markets)

* Please note: If you require an extra chair or table please bring with you as we will not have access to Siteworks equipment this year.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS:

If successful, stallholder/s must adhere to the terms and conditions in this application form.

  • All applications must be returned by Friday 2 FEBRUARY 2024 to secure your stall.

  • The BLAK DOT ARTIST MARKET will not accept responsibility for expenses arising from theft and damage of artwork and goods whilst within the confines of the market.

  • The BLAK DOT ARTIST MARKET will not accept responsibility for death or injury to any person whilst in the confines of the market.

  • Stalls shall be displayed in a professional manner and with a quality that shall enhance both artwork/goods and Market aesthetic alike.

  • Set up and dismantling of stalls shall adhere to times outlined by the market and should be done with due consideration to noise emissions.

  • All packaging materials and rubbish will be taken home with stallholders after hours.

  • Stallholders or stallholder representative must man stalls at all times.

  • BLAK DOT ARTIST MARKET stallholders are not allowed to sell or serve food or beverages unless approved.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:

Q. How large are the stalls?

Each stall will be held within a 3m x 3m marquee, with a trestle table and chair provided.

Q. What hours will be market be open?

The market will be open from 11am to 6pm on Sunday 3rd March 2024. 

Q. What time do I have to arrive and set up my stall?

We will let you know once we are notified by the Festival organizers.

Q. Do I have to man my stall?

Yes.  Artists and stall holders are required to man their stall for the duration of the MARKET opening hours as per the terms and conditions. (It will a busy day maybe consider two people at your stall)

Q. Is there parking available?

No parking in the market site area. General parking is available at Howler across from Brunswick Baths, Along Dawson Street on the other side of the train tracks or at Woolworths (Brunswick) on Albert street.
